About Tip Dialog
Some pages will pop up a dialog to guide users to use, please read it carefully
Model¶
Import¶
- Workshop models can be downloaded directly through the built-in workshop browser
- LPK and Json files can be imported from device storage, please prepare the files beforehand
Delete¶
- Workshop and Json models: Long press the list item, select the model you want to delete, click the trash can icon in the upper right corner
- LPK models: Click the trash can icon on the right and select the LPK file you want to delete
Background¶
Import¶
- For Workshop backgrounds, add the workshop folder directly
- Local background can be imported from device storage
Delete¶
Long press the list item, select the model you want to delete, click the trash can icon in the upper right corner
Edit Mode¶
Click the lower right button to enter edit mode. For details, please refer to the tip dialog
Set Wallpaper¶
There are two ways to set wallpapers
- Open the app, click Set Wallpaper from left side menu, it will jump to the system wallpaper settings page
- Find Live2DViewerEX directly on system wallpaper settings page
FAQ¶
The difference between free users and Steam users¶
- Free users: Points are required to download and import models and backgrounds, which can be obtained by watching video ads
- Steam users: no restrictions
Workshop is not accessible / Ads can't be loaded¶
Server or network problem, please try to change the network, or try again after a while. If you are unable to access for a long time, please contact the developer
Can not find Live Wallpaper settings / Click Set Wallpaper not work¶
Some devices may not be able to set live wallpapers due to a home-made Android OS. Please try using a third-party home launcher or live wallpaper launcher
The wallpaper is black after restarting the phone¶
In app setting, set Delay loading wallpaper to 3 or higher
How to set lock screen¶
Whether the lock screen can be set is determined by system, not application
Wallpaper disappears after closing the app or clearing the app background service¶
Please lock the app background service
How to make the background slide with home screen¶
Settings → Background → Background Offset, set to 'Home Screen'
Power consumption increases after setting as live wallpaper¶¶
This problem cannot be avoided. Imagine the power consumption when you're playing games. Currently, the software will suspend when the screen is off or other applications are opened. In this state, almost no power will be consumed. So it is not recommend to keep the screen on or interact with live wallpaper for a long time
The model got display issues / Black edges appear in the model¶¶
- Menu → Settings → Model → Texture Correction. Note that turning this option on will increase loading time of the model. in most cases, weak is enough
- Increase Anisotropic Filtering Level in the settings. Note that this option has an impact on performance. It is recommended to adjust to 4 or more.
Can not load models¶
This problem is mostly caused by loading a LPK model. It may be due to incorrect or inaccurate configuration file of LPK. Please contact the LPK creator to fix the problem
Can not play video background¶
Due to mobile platform hardware limitations, many PC encoding formats or high bit rate videos may not play properly. It is recommended to use transcoding software to convert video to compatible mobile device formats. In general, almost all mobile devices support mp4 files with h.264 encoding format, which is highly recommended to use
